In most image generation models, a pre-trained autoencoder compresses images before any diffusion occurs, causing quality loss that accumulates throughout the pipeline. PixelDiT, the Pixel Diffusion Transformer, completely removes this step. It is a single-stage model that learns the diffusion process end-to-end directly in pixel space.
